British actor Daniel Radcliffe has signed up for the final two films in the seven-part Harry Potter series, his spokeswoman said on Friday.
The 17-year-old, who has just won rave reviews for his performance in Peter Shaffer’s controversial play “Equus,” will start filming the sixth movie based on the bestselling books by J.K. Rowling in September, she added.
Radcliffe shot to fame in 2001 when he appeared as the boy wizard in the first Harry Potter film.
The hit franchise, which continues with the fifth installment called “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” later this year, has amassed around $3.5 billion globally at the box office and turned the teenager into a multi-millionaire.
Rowling recently announced that the seventh and final book in the series, called “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” will be published on July 21, but it is not clear when the film version will be made.
The first six books have sold in excess of 325 million copies worldwide.
Movie commentators had wondered if Radcliffe could sustain the role of Potter throughout the film franchise, and whether the raunchy publicity shots of Radcliffe for “Equus” would alienate him from his core fan base.

Friday just brings out the craziness in everybody. This morning Kelis was arrested by two female cops posing as prostitutes. Apparently she went Foxy Brown on their asses and stated shouting racial and outrages profanities to them. This all happened outside in the South Beach nightclub district. WTF is u with crazy heffas and Miami? Anyways….she was arrested after she violently charged the two cops/prostitutes (yes…they were on the job…I hope). So it’s official. After her stint above during All Star weekend and this foolishness right here–Kelis is on that sh*t. Mr Jones….come get ya wife.
And Bobby Brown, his bro Tommy, and Hot 99.5 are acting the plum fool. Tommy posted Bobby’s bail of $19,150 Wednesday night, but did so on behalf of the DC station Hot 99.5. Why? Because they caopped a deal with him that he hosta a show on the station for a week….in exchange for the bail posting. Damn. Now this is what I have to listen to when I get in my car everyday? Could be pure comedy or true sadness. Either way…Bump Wendy Williams. I can’t wait till his radio hosting stint starts. I will definitely keep y’all posted on the tomfoolery we all know is about to ensue.

Bossy singer, Kelis was arrested early Friday morning in Miami Beach after screaming racial obscenities at two female police officers who were posing as prostitutes.
The officers were working an undercover operation in South Beach, when cops say Kelis started screaming racial slurs at the women. She continued screaming and rushed toward them, and had to be restrained by friends, a police report said. According to the report, Kelis actions caused people walking by to stop and form a crowd. The sidewalk was blocked by the disturbance, causing people to walk in the street and causing traffic to stop.
Kelis, the wife of rapper Nas, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. A rep for Kelis had no comment.
I think this is the most senseless reason a celeb has gotten arrested. It proves you shouldn’t judge people. Keep your mouth shut girl, you don’t know who you are talking to!!

The Hollywood Gossip loves Rachel Bilson.
But we have never seen images of the former star of The OC quite like this before. Except for when she was dressed like this on The OC. Sorta. Wow. Adam Brody has got to be kicking himself right now (if he’s not still sore, that is).
When we first saw these Rachel Bilson pictures, our first reaction was that of shock. After all, these are pictures of Rachel Bilson dressed up and looking like some sultry dominatrix ready to get kinky with whips, handcuffs and the like.
But she’s still got that trademark smile on her face, which makes it hard to get over the fact that she’s still the same, sweet, adorable actress from a teen drama we used to enjoy. We don’t mean to criticize – far from it – she just seems a little out of place here. Although her character in The Last Kiss was a little more grown up…

Katherine is not at all pleased that Touchtone decided to go public with their side of her contract negotiations. After rumors circulated this week that she wanted more money and had dropped out of negotiations, Touchtone released a statement saying she was under contract and wasn’t going anywhere. Now Katherine has responded and it’s clear she’s not happy. Here’s more:
“I am embarrassed that this has become a public matter and disappointed that Touchstone felt it necessary to divulge private employment information,” Heigl, 28, said in a statement Thursday.
“I had hoped I would be able to deal with this issue confidentially with my bosses. I dropped out of the renegotiation simply because I wanted to treat myself with the respect I was not getting from them.”
But Grey’s fans will be happy to know that Heigl, who plays Izzie Stevens on the ABC hit, still loves her character. “No matter how unhappy I am about their decision to respond to this publicly, I continue to be passionate about and committed to this character,” she said.
Sounds like things are going to be a little awkward at the office on Monday. Still, Touchstone said that they’re going to be giving Katherine more money so hopefully this will all blow over and things will once again settle down on the set of Grey’s. We’re just happy that Izzie will be staying on the show, Seattle Grace wouldn’t be the same without her!

It’s official – Angelina Jolie has filed papers to adopt a Vietnamese child. “She just filed the papers this week,” said a top adoption official in Vietnam, confirming the rumors that have been circulating for the past few days. “They have to follow all procedures like any other American. They will have to work with the American side. No priority will be given to them, that means they will be treated equally as any other people.” Jolie applied to adopt as a single parent, though partner Brad Pitt has officially adopted Jolie’s other adopted children, 5-year-old Maddox and 2-year-old Zahara. Pitt and Jolie first visited orphanages in Vietnam on a trip over Thanksgiving last year, and Jolie made another visit to the country in January for a meeting about the Maddox Jolie-Pitt project, a charity for her son’s homeland of Cambodia. Pitt said in January that the couple intended to expand their brood, saying, “Always, of course. We’ll let you know when we get there.”
