Pete Wentz Makes Most Beautiful List - WTF!?

George Clooney. Patrick Dempsey. Brad Pitt. Jennifer Aniston. Christie Brinkley. Aishwarya Rai. With some celebrities, there’s simply no doubt when you gaze upon them. The gut reaction is “He [she] is so beautiful!”

Pete Wentz is not one of those people.

We think that’s clear, having, you know, seen pictures and videos of Pete Wentz before. But People magazine, in an effort to act cool and trendy, decided to include the Fall Out Boy bassist / Ashlee Simpson boy toy in annual its list of the world’s most beautiful individuals.

Seriously, People. WTF. What’s next, Marilyn Manson? Dudes wearing makeup is great for publicity and selling records - and it doesn’t stop you from scoring with hot girls, either. But let’s not kid ourselves and call Pete Wentz beautiful, k?

He’s as good looking as Britney Spears is stable.

Anyway, we’ll make up for posting this Pete Wentz pic with some images of some others who (deservedly) made the People’s list of the Most Beautiful People of 2007. You don’t often see Matthew McConaughey with a shirt on. Take it in… as you wish he’d take it off!!!!

In case you can’t identify him, that’s Prison Break star Wentworth Miller up top with the voluptuous Scarlett Johansson. Then there’s McConaughey, of course, loving life in all his chiseled glory. Jennifer Garner, super mother and super actress, is always a favorite of The Hollywood Gossip.

baldwin s bluff

i haven’t commented on alec baldwin’s voicemail tirade toward his daughter because really, everyone i know has been bitched out by their parents, and much worse was said! it really just seems to be a spiteful battle between two spoiled actors, alec and ex-wife kim basinger. this fictional movie poster, via best week ever, pretty much sums it up.

as for baldwin’s claim that he wanted out of his contract with nbc’s 30 rock, give me a break! the man can’t have a successful career and a fulfilling life with his “piggy” daughter (his words, not mine!)? he’s just playing the p.r. game! if he could go to rehab to make himself look better, he would.

nbc hasn’t commented, but i’m assuming he’s coming back to 30 rock next season. hell no will they let him go when the show is finally gaining momentum! speaking of which, the finale the other night was fantastic. elaine stritch played jack’s mom (brilliant!) and sean hayes played kenneth’s hillbilly cousin (superb!). also, they didn’t leave us with an annoying cliffhanger; everything was resolved quite nicely. if only alec’s personal life would do the same.

Jake Cries Uncle

Jake Gyllenhaal takes his six-month-old niece Ramona Sarsgaard for a scenic walk in Manhattan. (How many double letters does it take to spell Maggie Gyllenhaal Sarsgaard?) According to Celebrity Baby Blog, the stroller cost $600. Meanwhile, in the wake of breathless stories of how Reese Witherspoon used her full-on Southern charm and feminine wiles to woo Jake into her arms, it now seems she can’t find time to actually be with him, that the romance is over before it started, and he’s the one who’s “devastated,” if you can believe it. Some can’t.
