Laurie Ann Gibson, choreographer to the stars Danity Kane, has been fired by Diddy after an altercation on the set of “Making the Band 17″. The drama didn’t end there, though, with the dance instructor filing a police report claiming both Diddy and Michael Bivins of Bell Biv DeVoe, a guest judge, physically threatened her with a chair.
The incident escalated as Bivins accosted Gibson, while Combs menaced and threatened her with a chair. According to Gibson’s complaint, she was able to break free from Bivins and eventually left the set.
Sources close to Combs deny he picked up a chair to threaten Gibson and asserted that the argument was an attempt to make good television that Gibson overreacted to.
“This is just another example of a false accusation by someone trying to take advantage of Sean’s success and celebrity status,” said Diddy’s attorney Benjamin Brafman. (SOHH)
Yawn. The new season must be starting next week or something. We’ll see pictures of her ass cheesing in the Hamptons with Diddles in a matter of minutes.

Maxim’s 8th Annual Hot 100 Party Avril Lavigne is hooked on acting after appearing in two movies last year, and is now looking for serious big screen roles.
The singer loaned her voice to an animated character in Over The Hedge and made a brief appearance in Fast Food Nation, and she confesses she has an appetite for more.
Lavigne tells MTV, “I think as time goes on, I would want to try different styles. I would want to go for a more serious drama, something darker that would take a lot of emotion.”
She adds, “I do have a movie that I’m going to be working on and starring in.”

I had heard this book was supposed to come out in 2007. According to Amazon, we’re not going to get it until 2008. If it’s as good as the first two, then it is well worth the wait.

Playing her good friend Mariane Pearl on-screen in the new movie A Mighty Heart was a daunting enough challenge for Angelina Jolie, but accurately depicting the horror of what befell Mariane after her journalist husband Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and ultimately murdered in 2002 was beyond difficult. To give proper depth to Mariane’s sorrow Angelina says she drew inspiration from her own life experiences and memories, particularly those provided by her children.
Many people know this story and they forget that Mariane was five-and-a-half months pregnant at the time (of the abduction). I remember being six-months-pregnant and thinking ‘I can’t imagine at this time not having the father with me.’
Mariane — who authored A Mighty Heart — dedicated the book to her son Adam, born three months after his father’s death and now nearly 5-years-old. It was Mariane’s courage and refusal to give herself over to hatred, for the sake of her child, which struck a chord with Angelina.
As a mother it just made me so much more connected to her and also knowing that carrying that life inside, that little boy that’s half Danny’s, that is so amazing…She is a very compassionate, thoughtful person who looks to dialog to change things, to make things better. That is, I think, a lesson to all of us.
Angelina and partner Brad Pitt are parents to four children; Maddox, 5, Pax, 3, Zahara, 2 and Shiloh, turning 1-year-old next week. The family is currently in Cannes, France at the 60th Annual Cannes Film Festival in order to promote A Mighty Heart.
