We’re having a devil of a time trying to muster up enough enthusiasm to write about Nicole Richie possibly being in rehab but probably not but maybe even though her people say no yet other people say yes but if she WAS in she’s back out, so please, if you are filled with a burning desire to hear about it, let The Blemish tell all, because we can’t deal with it. We’ve finally reached our breaking point when it comes to substance-dabbling, food-eschewing (not food-chewing), inexplicably famous chippies. One more Nicole Richie story will put us over the edge, so please, leave us in peace. We’ll be on the veranda under soft, paper-shaded lighting, drinking mint juleps and depending on the kindness of strangers.

At 5pm EST Paul McCartney will premiere his new video on YouTube.

The video will be featured in the ‘Director Videos’ slot at the top of the page.

The video, ‘Dance Tonight’ which stars Natalie Portman as a ‘futuristic ghost’ is from McCartney’s upcoming album, Memory Almost Full, which is scheduled to be released on June 5.

When asked how Portman was cast for the role Paul replied, “The connection with Natalie came from my daughter Stella, who makes non-leather shoes that Natalie buys. So I rang her up and said, ‘Hey I’m Stella’s dad!‘ She had a bit of time off, as she was between films, so it was great.”

With the release of Grindhouse has appeared what might be called grindhouse nostalgia. Most of this is devoted to theatrical revivals of some of the films that played in grindhouse and drive-in circuits over thirty years ago. There are also articles and postings discussing some of the films now available on DVD. All well and good, but when it comes to trash movies, what I really miss is that publicly available archive known as late night network television. What I miss is the ability, at least on weekend nights, to be able to count on watching a magnificently schlocky horror movie or two beginning around eleven p.m., airing on a local television station. A film starring Lon Chaney, Jr. would usually fit the bill, but a film made with people you never heard of, with poverty row budgets, were even better.

There are several DVD versions of The Atomic Brain. I’m not sure how much more complete they are then the version I have. In addition to being a smeary transfer, my copy appears to have be run a few too many times, with missing frames that chop off parts of the dialogue. This may not say much for film preservation, but the sloppy qualities make for a great duplication of watching a cheap, thowaway horror movie on late might televison, back in the pre-cable days when you could count the number of channels on one hand.

I’ve said it before; Lindsay Lohan cleans up well and it’s great to see her not looking like a hobo. But I’m not so sure why any brand would want someone so overexposed repping their brand. Oh well, Jill Stuart did! Source

Lindsay Lohan has lined up Svedka vodka to sponsor her 21st birthday blowout in Las Vegas, a rep for the brand confirmed yesterday.It’s part of a deal that could net the star up to seven figures for the July 2-3 celebration.

Other partners include Pure nightclub, Caesars Palace (which is providing a “specially designed” suite) and the Social House restaurant at Treasure Island.

Her rep said, “I am unaware of who is sponsoring Lindsay’s birthday, as I am not the one planning it.”

But Lohan’s lawyer Mike Heller confirmed the vodka deal. “This should be one of the best parties ever,” he told.
